One June 14, 2008, the Etobicoke Humane Society will be hosting its 17th Annual Merle Blain / Bruce Harvey Memorial Dog Walk-A-Thon. One of the attractions will be a central activity ring featuring various dog-related activities/demonstrations throughout the day - the more variety the better.

Canine Leaders has been invited to headline this event.
Please come out with your dog and join us.



Fundraiser for Autistic boy to recieve a service dog
This event will be on the 17th and 18th of May. It will be held at Shoppers Drug mart on Ontario St., in Welland. We have been invited to showcase some of our dogs, as well as our clients' dogs. Everyone is welcome to join us and show off your dog's abilities. There will be drinks, a BBQ, and prizes. We will be there from 11am to 1pm. Please take the time to come out and help this boy get his service dog quicker - and have fun doing it! Dogs must be on leash at all times. Anyone interested in participating should call our office to let us know. See you all then!


Canada Day Parade

Come and check us out in the parade and  see us at our info booth also stick around for our BBQ. You will have the chance to witness some of our training in action - you'll see competition dogs showing off their skills, as well as just regular well-trained pets with some special abilities.
 
 


LIVE on CTV News - March 19th 12-1pm (sorry to those of you who tried to catch us on Tuesday the 6th, we had to cancel due to the cold weather, but it looks good for the 19th).

CTV News will be broadcasting Canine Leaders LIVE in the streets of Toronto. We will be training our Guide/Skills dogs and we will be talking about Canine Leaders Freedom Dogs (our Guide and Skills dog organization). We will be educating and promoting awareness for the need of this service. Watch for us on CTV News March 19 between 12-1pm.

Are you willing to assist with fundraising efforts in your area?
From selling raffle tickets to working at a fundraising event, we need volunteers to raise money for the costs associated with Canadian Freedom Dogs, such as vet care, food, boarding, training, harnesses, dog kennels, etc. Please CONTACT US for more details.
 
 

 
We do regular pet therapy visitations at Queenston home and Stanford Estates in Niagara Falls every month. We often visit other homes as well.

Pet Therapy

Niagara Falls
7-8 pm
Come and join us as we help put smile on the folks' faces as we let our dogs be a source of therapy for them. We will also be performing an obedience demonstration.
